Job Summary
Drive company vehicles for prompt, on-schedule deliveries and pickups to inter-company hub distribution locations while notifying management of any schedule delays. Load and unload transfer vehicles accurately and efficiently, performing pre-shift inspections of vehicle oils, fluids, and tire pressure, and reporting damage or safety issues on a daily checklist. Become familiar with delivery routes and location preferences, utilizing electronic dispatching software to plan routes for maximum efficiency. Comply with all safety policies, attend quarterly Driver Safety Meetings, and maintain a professional relationship with co-workers and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs
- Hearing and vision adequate for safe driving
- Ability to climb steps
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
