Job Summary
Part-time Transfer Center/Patient Placement RN at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise, coordinates placement of all patient admissions and transfers per clinical standards. Responsible for ensuring patients are admitted to the most appropriate bed, determining observation vs inpatient status, and coordinating physician consults and inter-facility transport (Life Flight and robotic consults). Duties include bed placement coordination across units, tracking bed availability, communicating with ED and other departments, generating periodic reports, and participating in surge/ capacity meetings. Night shift, 16 hours/week, with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Requires an RN license (ID), with Idaho residency within 60 days and Oregon RN license within 90 days; BSN preferred; ACLS/PALS may substitute for BLS. Emphasis on teamwork, patient-centered care, and adherence to mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- A current RN license is required
- Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire
- Oregon RN license within 90 days of hire date
- Acute care, critical care, or MS experience required
- BSN strongly preferred
- Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience required
- Basic Life Support certification from AHA or ARC is required (ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
