Job Summary
Transfer Agency Supervisor - Alternatives oversees the process, control, and supervision of investor transactions such as recording commitments, capital calls, distributions, transfers, and redemptions. The role supports the Alternatives Transfer Agency Team Leader/Manager in day-to-day transfer agency operations to ensure high client satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising a small team (1 to 3 people), planning resources to meet deadlines, monitoring deliverables, and escalating delays. Duties also cover client service, escalation of client requests, maintaining relationships with client organizations, ensuring trading and reporting adhere to the Funds’ prospectus and operating procedures, supervising related cash reconciliations and investor reporting (contract notes and statements), and contributing to process improvements and risk controls. The position emphasizes mentoring staff, delivering high-quality services in a timely manner, and maintaining BBH’s standards of service. Fluency in English is mandatory; German and/or French are assets; strong written/verbal/presentation skills and aptitude for numbers are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years Transfer Agency experience, preferably in Alternatives (real estate, debts and private equity funds)
- Fluency in English is mandatory; German and/or French is an asset
- Experience in planning, initiating and following through to meet objectives
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers, accuracy and organization
