Job Summary
Transceiver Test Engineer responsible for testing, debugging, and supporting the development of high-speed optical transceivers (800G to 1.6Tbps); perform design verification and testing; install and maintain optical transceiver testing equipment (PPG/ED, DCA, CDR); set up optical transceiver link tests in accordance with MSA/IEEE standards; debug and troubleshoot link failures with cross-functional teams; develop and revise transceiver automatic testing software using LabVIEW and Python for data collection and test efficiency; document reports for qualification tests; requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Optical engineering with 2+ years of experience or a Master's with 1+ year, plus bilingual Mandarin; on-site in Sugar Land, TX; relocation package available within US; immigration sponsorships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Optical engineering with 2+ years of experience
- Master's degree with 1+ year of experience
- Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin)
- Familiarity with Linux, Python and LabVIEW are preferred
- Experience with optical transceiver communication link test
- 3 years of experience working in an engineering laboratory environment
