TransAlta General Duty Security Guard - Casual

Conduct tours for schools and the public, manage switchboard calls, and perform proactive patrols to address policy breaches. Investigate security alarms and emergencies, de-escalate crisis situations, and liaise with police, fire, and paramedic resources. Execute vehicle and personal searches, escort staff to restricted areas after hours, and provide first aid when required. Write detailed incident, emergency, liability, and daily reports while utilizing two-way radios and computer applications for site communication. Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries. This As Needed position requires a valid Alberta Security license, Class 5 driver's license, and the ability to walk 18–20km. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and possess strong communication and observational skills.
