Job Summary
Acquisitions and Valuation Analyst responsible for evaluating and sourcing investment opportunities in real estate, performing financial analyses (NPV, IRR, cash flow, P&L), building DCF/waterfall models from scratch in Excel, and supporting negotiations within the acquisition and valuation processes. Role involves collaboration with asset management and capital management teams, maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities, evaluating offerings from brokers and owners, conducting market/industry research, and coordinating third-party consultants to inspect properties. Travel to various real estate locations is required. Must develop industry relationships, review economic/demographic trends, and adhere to internal policies. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate or related field and 2–4 years of relevant experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate or related field
- two to four years related work experience coordinating, presenting, and applying general professional concepts for financial analysis including NPV, IRR, Cash Flow, leasing, ratio analysis, P&L analysis
- solid financial analysis and modeling skills
- ability to create DCF and waterfalls models from scratch, and handle large data sets in Excel
- strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- ability to prioritize and meet goals in a fast-paced environment
- excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously
- creative and proactive problem solving skills
