Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) – Private Equity Principal

GHJ is seeking a Transaction Advisory Services – Private Equity Principal to drive buy-side growth for the TAS practice. The role focuses on originating and leading private equity-sponsored financial due diligence and Quality of Earnings engagements, expanding sponsor relationships, and guiding cross-functional teams through the transaction lifecycle. The successful candidate will leverage GHJ’s QofE platform and middle-market reputation to accelerate BUyside TAS growth, develop a scalable PE growth strategy, and partner with Audit, Tax, CAAS, CFO Advisory, and other service lines. Key responsibilities include self-originations and relationship development, delivering high-quality diligence insights, advising on working capital, EBITDA adjustments, and purchase agreements, coaching engagement teams, and representing GHJ at industry events. The position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and entrepreneurial drive to build GHJ’s Private Equity platform and pursue a pathway to Partner. Qualifications emphasize a CPA (strongly preferred) and a minimum of 10 years leading/advising PE transactions, with a track record in business development and cross-functional collaboration.
