Job Summary
Coordinate the functions of the transmission construction department by assisting field TCRs with project updates, schedule updates, invoice processing, and project reporting. Serve as a subject matter expert for Construction Management regarding Transmission Line and Station construction, acting as a liaison between the organization and business groups like Transmission Field Services and Project Management. Represent Construction Management by attending project kick-off meetings, engineering scoping site meetings, pre-bid meetings, safety expectation meetings, and monthly project updates. Assist in identifying risks related to safety, schedules, budgets, materials, and contractor workforce, then suggest appropriate mitigation plans. Mentor less experienced Transmission Construction Representatives and deliver Construction Management presentations and training. Coordinate with the Safety Advisor to recommend safe work practices and with the Environmental Department to mitigate environmental issues. Lead Construction Management efforts during major storm restoration and emergency failures as requested. Participate in the development, review, and delivery of Core Block Training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management science with emphasis on project/construction management
