Job Summary
Review and validate TRAM-generated determinations at high volume with speed and precision, flagging errors, edge cases, and recurring patterns to translate them into actionable feedback for the AI to learn from. Serve as the internal subject matter expert across indirect taxes (sales tax, VAT, GST), conducting tax research when determinations require deeper investigation or judgment calls. Contribute to taxonomy design and definitions to shape the system's underlying logic. Operate as the human check on the machine, catching errors before they reach customers while feeding structured findings back into the system. Work five days in office in San Francisco, with a focus on high attention to detail and clear, concise communication in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in indirect taxation (sales tax, VAT, and/or GST)
- Strong understanding of indirect tax systems in the US and/or internationally, with willingness to expand into whichever you know less
- Proven ability to work quickly and accurately through high volumes of tax content without sacrificing attention to detail

Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in another widely spoken language, such as Spanish, French, Arabic, Portuguese, etc.
- Hands-on experience with tax automation or compliance platforms
