Job Summary
Assist customers with merchandise, range services, and training inquiries while operating the point-of-sale system for sales and transactions. Maintain a clean, stocked Pro-Shop by receiving inventory, performing counts, and reporting low stock or damaged items. Check in customers for training and range use, verify documentation, answer phones, and schedule classes. Prepare classrooms and event spaces for courses, promote memberships and special events, and perform opening/closing duties including cash reconciliation. Work Monday through Friday with primarily afternoon and evening shifts, occasionally covering weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check
- High School Diploma
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years of retail, customer service, hospitality, recreation, or related experience
- Experience in a retail store, Pro-Shop, sporting goods, firearms-related business, training center, or similar environment
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience using POS systems, cash handling, credit card processing, and cash reconciliation
- Experience with inventory management, merchandising, receiving shipments, and stocking
- Ability to promote products, memberships, and training programs while assisting customers
- Strong organizational, multitasking, administrative, and recordkeeping skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, POS software, and standard business applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with professionalism and attention to detail
- Adaptable to changing priorities, special events, and operational needs
- Basic knowledge of firearm safety and range operations
- Willingness to learn required firearm safety and range operations
