Job Summary
Manage instructional personnel and oversee daily training operations on the training pad and road, including pre-trip inspections, vehicle maintenance checks, and ensuring all safety zones and equipment are properly maintained. Direct instructors through formal demonstrations, monitor teaching processes for consistency with TTT best practices, and supervise the completion of daily training records and DVIRs. Implement approved daily schedules and curriculum while assisting with student assignments, disciplinary actions, and the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy. Provide continuous training and cross-training for all instructors to ensure proficiency across required curriculum areas.
Required Qualifications
- Current Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Valid U.S. DOT Interstate Physical
- Verified negative U.S. DOT Drug Screen
- Minimum High School graduate or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years verifiable over-the-road driving experience
- Ability to obtain instructor's license from state agencies as applicable
- Ability to effectively communicate using both verbal and written skills
- Ability to perform the duties of managing and directing various assigned areas of the training department in accordance with company policy

- Must be available for ensuring all vehicles receive a pre-trip inspection prior to going on road
- Must be available for ensuring instructors are directing students to drop and hook trucks and trailers at the beginning and end of each training day
- Must be available for ensuring all safety zones are marked properly, clearly identified, and properly managed
- Must be available for implementation of all safety practices on the training pad as stated in the TTT manual
- Must be available for implementation of all safety practices for road training as stated in the TTT manual
