Training Supervisor (Collin, Ellis, & Kaufman County)

Job Summary
Design and conduct permanency training programs for new and tenured employees across Collin, Ellis, and Kaufman Counties, translating child welfare requirements into specialized courses and workshops. Manage the mentoring program by recruiting, training, pairing, and tracking mentors while evaluating their effectiveness and supporting onboarding. Identify staff developmental needs, create training plans, and develop skill practice exercises using instructional design principles. Deliver training on SSCC policies, Texas child welfare laws, and DFPS procedures through in-person, video conferencing, and blended methods. Maintain consistent communication with mentors, supervisors, and HR, and travel to all designated counties to support team goals and performance outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a social service or organizational leadership/management field
- At least five years' experience in the role of a child-welfare related role (i.e., investigations, conservatorship, Family Based Safety Services) or child welfare trainer position
- At least one year of supervision experience
- At least one year in conducting in-person training and using one or more of the following delivery methods: video conferencing, online, blended, and/or webinar
- Adequate knowledge of learning management software
- Designing training curricula and coordination of training events in an organizational setting
- Considerable knowledge of the following: SSCC system and objectives in Texas, Texas Child Welfare laws and legal requirements, joint operations between SSCC's and DFPS in Texas, OCOK organization and Permanency procedures
- Applicable and demonstrative knowledge of CAREMATCH, CLASS, IMPACT
- Knowledge in instructional design theory and learning principles
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
- The ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
- The ability to identify sources for training content
- The ability to sequence training methods
- The ability to create training plans and schedule trainings
- The ability to create skill practice exercises
- The ability to pace training methods
- The ability to select appropriate training methods
- The ability to create broad content outlines
- Travel to all OCOK counties (Northeast 3E Region to include Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, Ellis, Kaufman and Navarro Counties. Southwest 3W Region to include Tarrant, Johnson, Erath, Somervell, Hood, Parker, Palo Pinto, Denton, Cooke, and Wise Counties)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Previous proven training skills in the social service arena
- Experience using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Moodle, Canva, Freeform, Dropbox, and other software
