Job Summary
Teach nautical subjects to trainee deck cadets, including DNS and STCW courses (OCTCO, BST, STSDSD); conduct lectures, maintain records, and prepare/update training materials. Guide cadets in paper writing and project work; assist in preparing examination papers, answer keys, and evaluation for internal and IMU examinations. Provide feedback to improve teaching methods in collaboration with HOD/Principal; support project planning and assessment activities as part of curriculum delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Seafarer with Class 1 COC
- TOTA or VICT
- AECS
- Experience as Master or Chief Engineer OR 4 years in maritime training or safety & quality
