Job Summary
Conduct pre-approval training for prospective Marin County Resource Parents, covering child protective systems, trauma effects, personal rights, cultural needs, and laws impacting child welfare. Deliver virtual sessions on evenings and weekends while managing attendance and post-class surveys. Ensure all activities emphasize trauma-informed, safety, permanency, and well-being. This part-time role is budgeted for up to 9 hours weekly at $30.00 - $40.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or a related field
- 3-5 years Child Welfare/Foster Care experience
- Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of three (3) years good driving history
- Must be approved by the agency's insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles
- Must be available for evening and weekend training sessions
- Knowledge of child protective systems
- Knowledge of the effects of trauma
- Knowledge of personal rights of children
- Knowledge of cultural needs of children
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development
- Knowledge of laws and regulations impacting child welfare
- Trauma-informed approach
- Focus on safety, permanency, and well-being
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with Social Work experience
