Job Summary

Coordinate and implement training for the HEIS program, Overdose Prevention and Response, and the HHHRC Training Institute, including Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-informed Care. Manage logistics, curriculum development, and the Training Committee while creating materials like slides, certificates, and surveys. Facilitate communication with participants and collaborate with external partners on projects. Organize monthly all-staff trainings and maintain training files. Work Monday through Friday with some evening and weekend attendance for special events.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the LGB&T community, culture, and experiences
  • Knowledge of curriculum development practices
  • Ability to facilitate training presentations both in-person and virtually
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in stressful situations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Non-judgmental attitude and ability to respect the knowledge, actions, and feelings of others
  • Ability to work productively as part of a team as well as motivated to work independently to complete tasks
  • Capability to work well and thrive professionally in an atmosphere of significant diversity, working with marginalized populations
  • Capacity to work with people with addiction, mental health diagnosis, and other marginalized populations with compassion, respect, and non-judgment
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant administrative and/or training facilitation experience
  • Valid Hawaii Driver's License and clean three-year (3-year) Driver's Abstract
  • TB Clearance
  • Hep B Clearance and/or Vaccination
  • Must pass Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services eligibility screening
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with some evening and weekend attendance required for special events and conferences

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant administrative experience, as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant
  • Knowledge of harm reduction
  • Knowledge of HIV, viral hepatitis, and STDs
