Training Specialist

Job Summary
Delivers and facilitates training to groups, managers, external customers, and on-the-job trainees using instructor-led, eLearning, and simulation techniques. Assesses training needs via surveys, interviews, and focus groups, then designs and develops curriculum, materials, and evaluations aligned with Kirkpatrick's model. Project manages end-to-end training implementation, working with business SMEs and leaders to improve employee performance and support organizational system changes. Maintains training content accuracy, monitors compliance, and develops measures to evaluate training outcomes. Works with minimal supervision to represent the department on committees and assist in policy development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Communications, Education, Business, or related field
- Five (5) years in an education or training environment which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities with demonstrated application of knowledge in the following areas: training, analytics, interpretation of data, process, procedure and workflow design, project management and user documentation
- three (3) years' experience working in workers' compensation insurance with demonstrated public speaking, researching, and training skills and two (2) years education and training experience
- Project Management Experience
- Ability to travel for training for up 20% of time
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Progress toward, or completion of, industry-recognized professional designation preferred
- Certification, or progress toward, highly preferred and encouraged
