Training Specialist Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of staff and student training, including scheduling annual recertification, new hire orientation, and on-the-job training across all shifts. Conduct specific training sessions, develop curriculum, and identify subject matter experts to deliver instruction. Coordinate requirements with departments, compile logs for monthly performance indicators, and maintain documentation for licensing compliance. Identify employees needing correction plans, provide guidance, and model positive operational culture norms. Assist with hiring evaluations, approvals, and emergency situations while ensuring safety and welfare standards. Complete required reports, attend mandatory meetings, and track annual training hours for the program.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Bachelor's degree
- At least four years of related experience (preferably ROP experience) or Bachelor's degree and one year of experience
- Two years of related experience in a supervisory capacity
- Familiarity with ROP procedures, policies, and program implementation
- Instructor certifications in CPR/First Aid
- Instructor certifications in PPC
- Instructor certifications in Crisis Intervention Techniques
- Instructor certifications in Suicide Prevention
- Eligibility to be an ROP driver
- Current State Driver's License
- Acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
- Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Ability to pass a physical exam
- Ability to pass a TB test
- Ability to perform work with little or no supervision
- Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive internal and external relationships
- Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all employees and outside constituents
- Ability to function independently and as a member of a team in a multi-task environment
- Flexibility to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions
- Proficiency in the use of computers and associated software
- Ability to work weekends if necessary
- Ability to work after hours if necessary
