Job Summary
The Bilingual Training Specialist will design and deliver training materials and programs to support store operations, including in-store and virtual training, classroom facilitation, and learning-management system administration. Responsibilities include developing training content for brand standards, new procedures and systems, facilitating national in-store onboarding for franchise partners and new store openings, hosting live events online, coordinating the Food Safety Training program, and supporting French-speaking stores. Requires 3-5 years of training experience (retail food environment preferred), post-secondary education in Adult Education/HR/Education or related field, experience with a Learning Management System, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva, Vyond, Movavi, and Articulate 360 is preferred. Travel across Canada is required, including evenings and weekends; overnight travel may be necessary. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. The role is a 12-month temporary term with starting salary between $60,000 and $74,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of training experience, preferably in a retail food industry environment
- Post-secondary education in Adult Education, HR, Education, or another related field
- Prior experience working with a Learning Management System
- Prior experience developing and hosting virtual classrooms and workshops preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Travel throughout Canada with schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, and extended periods of travel; overnight travel sometimes required
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record, and reliable vehicle
