Job Summary
Develop, administer, and evaluate division-wide training programs, curricula, certifications, and instructional materials for Security Services; coordinate new hire academies, onboarding, field training, and ongoing development for Security Officers and Specialists; deliver security awareness and emergency preparedness training for County personnel; supervise and coach assigned security personnel; provide leadership and guidance to ensure training compliance and operational readiness; participate in emergency response drills and threat/vulnerability assessments; manage administrative tasks including staffing coordination, scheduling support, and field-training officer program administration.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of armed security-related experience within a criminal justice system, security industry, or military police environment
- One year of experience in a supervisory, lead, or Field Training Officer position
- High school diploma or GED
- A combination of post-secondary education may substitute for the armed security-related experience requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Valid Arizona driver's license by time of hire
- Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW) DPS/NRA Firearms Certification CPR/First Aid Certification Axon/Taser Certification
