Job Summary
As Training Product Developer, contribute to developing nationally accredited training products for Australia’s mining and automotive workforce. Responsibilities include nationally consulting with industry and authorities, conducting technical writing of qualifications and units of competency aligned to the Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF), applying TPOF to define occupational outcomes and capability needs, documenting evidence for training product development, supporting governance and compliance processes, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver training products on time and within scope. The role involves cross-functional coordination, preparing documentation for validation bodies, and potential interstate travel. Ideal candidates are analytical, detail-focused, and adept at translating industry needs into structured, nationally consistent training standards; experience in the VET sector and stakeholder engagement is required.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
- At least two years’ experience working in the VET sector, ideally within a TAFE or Registered Training Organisation
- Experience developing nationally accredited training packages and/or accredited courses within the VET sector
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information clearly
