Job Summary
The Training & Outreach Manager leads the design, development, and evaluation of customized training programs for a diverse client base and drives revenue goals for the Customized Training department. Responsibilities include managing the training lifecycle from initial consultation to contract fulfillment, overseeing training delivery operations for high-quality execution and client satisfaction, identifying industry needs and coordinating training solutions, and recruiting qualified instructors. The role requires building strong client relationships, a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of related experience (health and human services, manufacturing, skilled trades, business, sales, or training), a valid Class D driver’s license with statewide travel, and demonstrated skills in communications, program development, project coordination, and CRM usage. Telework may be available with supervisor approval; typical schedule is Monday–Friday with potential flexibility. The position contributes to achieving revenue goals, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with college policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience in health and human services, manufacturing, skilled trades, business, sales, or training
- Associate’s degree in a related field could be substituted for 6-months of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is 12-months of experience
- Must possess a valid Class D Drivers License and be able to travel statewide as required
- Strong customer relationship development skills with the ability to motivate, and drive operational outcomes; excellent verbal and written communication and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of business operations to assess and determine client needs
- Experience in managing multiple complex projects with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and to perform in a team environment as needed
- Ability to adhere to State, System, and College policies and procedures
- Results-oriented and client-focused
- Physical requirements related to moving/transporting items and ability to work in varying environments
- Preferred: Degree in related field; experience in sales or revenue-generating endeavors; knowledge of adult learning concepts; CRM experience; grant-funded program management; language skills (Spanish, Somali, French, Hmong)
