Job Summary
Develop and maintain standardized technical curriculum for Machining & Quality competencies at the Pratt & Whitney Asheville site. Partner with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to assess training needs, implement a Learning Management System, and deliver technical training via various methods. Coordinate on-boarding with Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and establish standard work practices to close training gaps. Proactively report status and gaps to management while participating in lean manufacturing initiatives. Support pre- and post-shift training, weekend, and alternate schedules as an onsite role.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 12 years prior relevant experience
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- minimum 10 years experience
- Onsite work schedule
- willingness to support pre- and post-shift training
- willingness to support weekend schedules
- willingness to support other alternate schedules
- Travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in technical training
- certification as a Train-the-Trainer
- 15+ Years of related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean principles
- Proven ability to coordinate and complete project objectives in a timely and efficient manner
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- excellent overall technical skills
- Advanced Blueprint interpretation and GD&T skills
- Proven experience designing, writing technical content, and evaluating deliverables under aggressive timelines in a manufacturing setting
- Passion for learning new equipment, ideas and systems quickly
- ability to translate business requirements into employee friendly training materials
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
