Job Summary
Develop and execute annual training strategies aligned with business priorities and brand objectives for product and retail excellence initiatives across Diptyque Japan. Lead the planning, localization, and delivery of training programs while translating global materials into engaging experiences tailored to the Japanese market. Conduct regular boutique visits to observe, coach, and elevate client experience standards, reinforcing service rituals and luxury selling behaviors. Analyze training-related KPIs from mystery shopping programs and client surveys to translate findings into actionable development plans and monitor program effectiveness. Manage training budgets and partner closely with Retail, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution excellence. Requires 8+ years of experience in training or retail capability development, native-level Japanese proficiency, and domestic travel flexibility. Open to candidates eligible to work in Japan; visa sponsorship not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Training, Learning & Development, or Retail Capability Development
- Proven experience designing and facilitating training programs independently and influencing diverse stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and retail teams with confidence, providing clear direction while maintaining strong relationships
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and translate insights into concrete action plans
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese, both written and spoken, with exceptional communication and localization capabilities
- Business-level English proficiency, including the ability to communicate effectively and advocate for local perspectives in global discussions
- Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically on a regular basis
- Eligible to work in Japan (Hold Japanese nationality or Possess a valid working visa in Japan)
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese, both written and spoken
- Business-level English proficiency
