Job Summary
The Training Lead oversees training activities for hourly production hires across departments, ensuring completion of initial online LMS training and ongoing refresher training. Responsibilities include coaching new hires on floor processes, enforcing GMP/SQF and safety standards, tracking employee progress with skill checklists, maintaining relationships with Production Supervisors and Shift Managers, communicating KPI targets, supporting CI initiatives, and providing on-floor support as needed. The role requires 0% travel and involves potential production-floor assistance when not actively training. This position operates on a 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM with Wednesdays and Thursdays off, based in Bedford Park, IL, and may require open availability for nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- General high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED)
- 6+ months of production/warehouse environment required
- Desire to train and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment alongside others as a team
- Open availability to work nights and weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must have floor presence and be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
