Job Summary
Lead the Spokane training location by delivering high-quality environmental education on asbestos, lead, and regulatory compliance while conducting field surveys, inspections, and air sample analysis. Collect bulk samples, perform air monitoring with calibration, and interpret results using phase-contrast microscopy. Prepare training records, certificates, and compliance documentation; manage classroom setup, scheduling, and student coordination. Maintain equipment including microscopes, pumps, and PPE. Occasional regional training support and minimal travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, occupational health, chemistry, biology, or related field
- Instructor or teaching experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to manage classroom equipment
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug test

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene, occupational health, chemistry, biology, or related field (preferred)
- Equivalent professional experience in place of a degree
- AHERA Building Inspector certification
- NIOSH 582 certification
- Lead Instructor / Risk Assessor certification
- Asbestos Supervisor or equivalent certification
- AHERA certification
- NIOSH 582 certification
- Lead certifications
