Job Summary
Maintain three natural grass fields and one turf field at the Orlando Health Training Ground through mowing, fertilization, edging, irrigation, troubleshooting, top dressing, aerating, painting, and sodding. Proactively identify turf diseases, weeds, and pests, then collaborate with the Head Groundskeeper to execute corrective actions. Work MLS, NWSL, and third-party events at Inter.co Stadium while ensuring field conditions meet team and league standards. Create and maintain relationships with MLS coaches and soccer operations staff. Requires a high school diploma, valid Florida driver's license, and one to three years of grounds maintenance experience, with a preference for soccer-specific knowledge and a Bachelor's degree in Turf Grass Science.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent
- valid Florida Driver's License
- 1-3 years of grounds maintenance-related work experience
- Candidate should possess or have the ability to obtain the Florida Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
- Ability to operate turf-related equipment (i.e., tractors, mowers, aerifiers, field paint machines)
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time and in various weather conditions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- The ability to attain and maintain Safesport certification
- The ability to pass a background screening
- Ability to walk and stand for short periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
