Training Event Specialist

Job Summary
Coordinate, plan, and support execution of corporate training programs and events, including agenda creation, venue selection, room setup, and transportation logistics. Manage vendor relationships for hotels, catering, and consultants, while overseeing budgeting, cost management, and invoice reconciliation through the Concur expense tool. Execute planned agendas onsite, assist facilitators, and maintain event websites via the Cvent platform. Prepare materials, support meetings at Kiewit University, and document processes to streamline operations. Submit rooming lists and manage regional event coordination.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years' work experience in hospitality services, event planning, training department, marketing, sales or vendor support, or other related field, where you are performing tasks similar to what is outlined above
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) experience
- Working knowledge of mobile devices, meeting technology and social media
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Desired Qualifications
- Some college or degree
- Working knowledge of a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Success Factors, SAP, iOracle or Learn.com
- Working knowledge of SharePoint and event management tools as well as the ability to analyze data and report/present on that data
