Job Summary

Develop an engaging economic empowerment training series aligned with industry trends, ESL best practices, and diverse learning needs. Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual trainings while maintaining consistent schedules and delivering content to groups, including those requiring interpreters. Maintain training attendance and assessment records, administer evaluations, and analyze data to identify improvements. Serve as the economic empowerment data lead, compiling, analyzing, and reporting program outcomes for donor compliance. Supervise interns and volunteers, collaborate with program leads to update training topics, and improve data systems to meet funder requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Education, Social Sciences, International Studies or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience designing curricula and implementing training programs to diverse, multi-lingual participants with a wide range of professional backgrounds
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in workforce development or economic empowerment, preferably working with a diverse immigrant population
  • Familiarity with the U.S. job market and workforce services
  • Familiarity with the Maryland job market
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online databases
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to develop data systems and manage large datasets accurately and efficiently
  • Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets, using formulas and functions, filtering and sorting data, generating reports, and working with pivot tables
  • Experience with database management, including inputting data, extracting data and developing efficient systems that meet programmatic and funder requirements
  • Proven success in achieving ambitious goals, both individually and as a team member
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, able to multi-task, prioritize, take initiative, and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrated success in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
  • Possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance to facilitate travel for on-site visits and client interactions
  • Ability to travel across the services area
  • Some schedule flexibility, to accommodate for periodic evening and weekend activities

Desired Qualifications

  • TESOL training or certification
  • Familiarity with the Maryland job market a plus
  • Bilingual ability in Amharic, Dari, French, Kinyarwanda, Pashto, Spanish, or Swahili or another language IRC clients speak
