Job Summary
Develop, update, and maintain curriculum and instructional materials supporting SBIRS Block 20 Ground Systems operations using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology. Assist the Government with the development, review, publication, and maintenance of formal training documentation including Student Training Records, Consolidated Task Lists, Training Standardization Guidance, and System Training Plans. Support the development and execution of instructor-led and simulator-based training while utilizing the Standard Space Trainer to evaluate crew proficiency. Develop realistic operational training scenarios incorporating intelligence products and adversary threat information. Ensure training products comply with U.S. Space Force regulations and maintain training records using Patriot Excalibur or equivalent systems. Collaborate with government personnel to continuously improve course effectiveness and mission readiness. Requires active Top Secret security clearance, minimum three years of curriculum development experience within the Department of Defense or U.S. Space Force, and onsite work in Aurora, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Minimum of three (3) years of curriculum development and instructional experience within a Department of Defense or U.S. Space Force environment
- Minimum of three (3) years of direct operational or instructional experience supporting SBIRS Block 20 Ground Systems
- Experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies within a formal military training environment
- Experience instructing using the Standard Space Trainer (SST) or supporting simulator-based instruction
- Working knowledge of U.S. Space Force training and evaluation regulations, documentation standards, and crew force management processes
- Direct operational experience with SBIRS Block 20 Ground Systems
- Direct operational experience with Satellite Command and Control
- Direct operational experience with Ground Segment Operations
- Direct operational experience with Mission Delta 4 operations
- Experience supporting one or more SBIRS Block 20 crew positions, including: Satellite Crew Chief (SCCH), Satellite Systems Operator (SSO), Ground Crew Chief (GCCH), Ground Systems Operator (GSO), Mission Officer in Charge (MSN OIC), Mission Crew Chief (MCCH), Data Systems Operator (DSO)
- Ability to work onsite in Aurora, Colorado
Desired Qualifications
- Previous certification as an Instructor/Evaluator (I/E) within Mission Delta 4 or an equivalent Space Delta organization
- Experience developing Combat Training scenarios utilizing intelligence products and adversary threat data
- Experience supporting simulator verification, validation, testing, and deficiency reporting
- Experience utilizing Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or another MAJCOM-approved training records management system
- Prior experience supporting operational testing, training modernization, or formal military course development
