Job Summary
Provide greet-and-assist service to YMCA members and guests, refer needs to staff, educate on operation guidelines, and maintain training-center areas. Responsibilities include orienting members to wellness facilities, demonstrating proper exercise technique, ensuring equipment and gym areas are clean and safe, responding to emergencies, and supporting staff. Requires ability to lead exercises at the member’s level, assist with routines, and uphold YMCA policies; certifications due within 30 days of hire (CPR/AED and First Aid) and minimum age of 16.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid
- Working knowledge of health and fitness principles
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people
