Job Summary
Document existing business processes and analyze workflows using Lean Six Sigma principles to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Revise and develop standardized documentation, procedures, and guides to enhance operational efficiency and support training material creation. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, implement process changes, and ensure clear translation of complex procedures into user-friendly formats. Conduct initial and continuing training for staff through lectures, demonstrations, and workshops while coordinating compliance audits and preparing statistical reports for management. Maintain training materials, equipment, and competency assessment files to ensure consistency across programs and departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in education, business, public administration, government, political science or a field applicable to the department's operations
- One year of professional experience conducting staff/client training and education
- One year with Pima County as a professional trainer or educator
- Valid driver license
- Valid AZ driver license
- Pass a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review
- Pre-employment background checks
- Post-offer, pre-employment background screening
- Verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history
- Post-job offer physical and/or drug screen
- Proof of immunization(s) or immunization(s) and/or a TB screening
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, organizational development, or a related field, preferably in a government or large organizational setting
- Minimum one (1) year of experience documenting, analyzing, and improving workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or organizational processes
- Minimum one (1) year of experience developing training materials or supporting employee training and development initiatives
- Experience with/knowledge of applying Lean Six Sigma principles or similar continuous improvement methodologies to evaluate and improve business processes
