Job Summary
Training and Development Manager at a 100%-employee-owned industrial contractor responsible for designing instructor-led and digital training programs, translating subject-matter expertise into learning objectives and materials, applying adult learning principles to improve engagement and retention, and creating digital content (presentations, videos, job aids, workflow diagrams, microlearning) using PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Synthesia, Visio, and Lucidchart. The role involves collaborating with SMEs, facilitating trainings, supporting LMS content, and evaluating training effectiveness to support scalable learning. Located in Pontiac, MI, with responsibilities centered on developing and delivering training aligned to safety, teamwork, integrity, and dedication within an industrial construction context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training development, or learning and development.
- Ability to develop engaging digital training materials.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and project management skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ADDIE, backward design, multimedia/eLearning development, learning management systems, workflow documentation, process mapping, construction, or workforce development.
