Job Summary

Conduct small group training sessions for members while designing individual exercise programs based on their goals and medical background. Inspect and maintain all club equipment, including performing guide rod lubrication and reporting malfunctions to management. Monitor the floor to ensure members follow safety protocols, track attendance data in club software, and promote the PE@PF program by greeting members and recommending free sessions. Deliver daily contributions by engaging members to drive loyalty, educating Team Players on program offerings, and assisting front desk operations. Maintain club cleanliness and represent the company at community outreach events.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must maintain an active Personal Training Certification
  • Must start the Trainer recertification process 1 month prior to their expiration
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science or kinesiology
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise the work of others
  • Familiar with Excel's mission, values, vision, and culture
  • Familiar with the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability, confidence, and leadership to run a successful small group session with members
  • Great communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Must be team-oriented

  • Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week
  • Must be able to work the corporate-approved PE@PF schedule
  • Must be able to work shifts typically between 6am to 1pm on Monday and Friday
  • Must be able to work shifts typically between Noon to 7:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Must be able to work overnight

  • Uncertified Team Players will be given the opportunity to complete a Trainer Certification of their choice within the first 30 days of employment
