Job Summary
The Trainer delivers high-quality theoretical and practical training in the designated trade, ensuring students acquire technical skills, safety knowledge, and industry competencies to meet national standards. Responsibilities include designing and delivering classroom theory and practical workshops, preparing lesson plans and demonstrations, employing modern teaching methods, aligning with industry and regulatory standards, conducting theory and practical assessments, providing feedback and remedial support, maintaining records, updating training materials for current developments, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements, safeguarding OH&S in workshop and training areas, enforcing safe practices, reporting hazards, managing inventory, and building strong industry partnerships to support student attachments, apprenticeships, or on-the-job placements.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching/Training qualification (Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110/TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent) is Essential
- Minimum 3–5 years industry experience in the trade
- Teaching/Training qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent)
- Assessor accreditation
- Industry licenses (where applicable)
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards
- Experience in vocational education and training (TVET) environment
