Job Summary
Trainer role delivering and refining Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) training programs. Responsibilities include reviewing current training programs, coordinating with the Ottawa National Office to utilize Moodle-based online training, delivering in-person and web-based sessions, developing materials and technical documents, supporting succession planning, conducting regular management meetings to identify instructional needs, administering post-training assessments, maintaining training records and reports, defining success metrics, ensuring compliance with legal/regulatory guidelines and workplace standards, developing and delivering various training programs to meet CGL needs (including revenue-generating opportunities), and conducting unscheduled on-site skills confirmations. Requires 3-5 years of relevant training experience (preferably in security), a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office and LMS platforms, strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to travel between offices; role is full-time with a hybrid schedule in Oakville, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant training experience including Adult Education training ideally within the Security Industry or related
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in training activities
- Experience in analyzing CGL training needs, lesson planning, development, and implementation
- Proficient in using Microsoft Suite and learning management platforms
- Strong understanding of business strategic goals and standards for customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, at all levels, and other departments
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to operate in dynamic, challenging environment with changing and conflicting priorities
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as perform duties independently/remotely without supervision
- Experience developing yearly training plans and materials for all departments throughout CGL
- Must be able to commute to the main office along with other offices
- Must have or qualify for Federal Secret Level II clearance
