Trainer Assessor - Trades (Carpentry)

Job Summary
Deliver onsite training and assessment for carpentry apprentices across pre-apprenticeship, school-based, and workplace contexts in Newcastle and surrounding regions. Prepare and facilitate compliant, industry-aligned sessions while maintaining accurate records in LMS, ReadySkills, and VETtrak. Support students through regular communication, feedback, and progress monitoring to ensure successful outcomes, and build strong relationships with apprentices and employers. Occasional travel and overnight stays are required at the expense of CWBTS. This permanent, part-time role (31.5 hrs/week) supports CWBTS's mission to achieve exceptional training results by drawing on deep industry connections to ensure the highest quality curriculum.
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent - Certificate III or above
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in apprenticeship-based training
- Valid Australian working rights
- Working with Children's Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain
- Police Check
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- willingness to travel to training venues and worksites
- Participation in ongoing PD and compliance training
