Job Summary
Trainer Assessor in Carpentry delivering onsite training and assessment for apprentices across pre-apprenticeship, school-based, and workplace contexts. Responsible for preparing compliant, industry-aligned training sessions, assessing student competency with timely feedback, maintaining records in LMS/CRM systems (LMS, ReadySkills, VETtrak), and building strong relationships with apprentices and employers. Role involves delivering across locations between Greater Sydney/Wollongong with occasional travel and overnight stays; requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, high attention to detail, and commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance training. Must hold a Certificate III carpentry qualification (or equivalent) and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment; willingness to obtain Police Check and Working with Children Check; valid Australian working rights; travel to training venues and worksites; and participate in ongoing PD.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum certificate III trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in apprenticeship-based training
- Valid Australian working rights & Working with Children's Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain
- Police Check and medical (if required)
- Willingness to travel to training venues and worksites
- Participation in ongoing PD and compliance training
