Job Summary
Deliver accredited training and assessment for Certificate II in Animal Care and Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care students at Taronga Training Institute. Design course materials, assessment tools, and strategies while ensuring all activities comply with RTO policies, the VET Quality Framework, and the National Training Package. Support student learning and suggest initiatives to improve customer service, sustainability practices, and industry standards. Communicate Taronga's conservation messages internally and externally to align with strategic pillars. Required Qualifications
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials: TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor, or TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training
- ACM30321 Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care and/or ACM20121 Certificate II in Animal Studies (or equivalent qualification or experience)
- Strong demonstrated experience in zoo keeping and animal management (minimum 2 years of current experience working in a zoological institution)
- Hold and maintain a current Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense
- Willingness to maintain Professional Development in VET and Industry
- Flexibility, reliability and effective time management
