Job Summary
Assess training and development needs of clinical services employees through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers. Organize, plan, and present onboarding, orientation, and skills refresher trainings across all clinical roles. Develop unique clinical trainings to maintain or improve job skills, while serving as a system administrator for the internal education platform. Administer new hire orientation and ongoing mandatory in-person or remote trainings, and maintain records of training activities, attendance, and competency results. This full-time exempt role in Long Island City, NY, supports Phoenix House's mission to help individuals overcome substance use disorders.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- One year of education, training, communications experience
- Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong oral presentation skills
- Ability to work with staff on a diverse learning level
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate, research evidence-based practices, training options and alternatives
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Relias or other education and training platforms, electronic health/medical records systems, and related program software
