Job Summary
Trainees will complete a Certificate I in Workplace Skills and a First Aid Certificate while gaining hands-on experience in community services and youth work at Cairns Corps. The program includes external training (Major training), inductions (online and in-person), language/numeracy/literacy support, tailored job-readiness guidance, and opportunities to identify future work. The role emphasizes practical skills development, accredited training, and involvement with local agencies, with ongoing support during and after the traineeship to enhance employability and align with vocational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Queensland resident
- Aged 15 years or older
- WWCC – QLD Blue Card (if over 18years)
- Reference check and background checks are essential
- Not currently enrolled in and/or have not previously completed a Skilling Queenslanders for Work project
- Cannot have a Certificate III or higher in a related field
