Job Summary
Trainee position in Ventura (CA) for field services supporting rig operations. Responsibilities emphasize adherence to safety and environmental policies, participation in training programs to enhance HSE knowledge, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of rig service tools (Power Tongs, BOP, Wrenches), DOT compliance, and basic English literacy and math. Physical outdoor work with potential long hours, rotating schedules, and travel between job sites. Hourly pay in California is $22/hour with full benefits described; employment offers full-time opportunity in a field environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Rig Service Tools e.g. Power Tongs, BOP, Wrenches
- Able to operate Rig Service Tools e.g. Power Tongs, BOP, Wrenches
- Basic knowledge of Sand line procedure and process
- Basic knowledge of Rig Service Procedures and Processes e.g. RU/RD, POOH Rods/Tubing, RIH Rod/Tubing
- Knowledge of and Compliance with DOT rules and regulations
- Knowledge of company policies, HSE standards and departmental guidelines
- Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they can understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job-related calculations
- Basic Computer skills
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Work Environment: outdoors, exposure to noise, long drives, physical tasks
- Requirement to balance, bend, squat, climb, reach, lift up to 50 lbs
- May work long hours and rotating schedule
