Job Summary
Trainee Utility Surveyor role in Nottingham-office-based surveying team focusing on outdoor utilities, CCTV and drainage surveys. You will learn to set up surveying instruments, conduct on-site surveys, process data in the office, and participate in a structured training program with on-the-job guidance from experienced surveyors. The position involves assisting with project delivery, ensuring health and safety practices, and supporting data processing, instrument checks, equipment loading, and data input. Ongoing training and potential accreditation opportunities (CICES) are provided, with options for overtime and occasional weekend work; travel will be required to complete projects.
Required Qualifications
- GCSEs including Maths & English at grade C/Grade 4 or higher
- Full UK driving license
- Right to work in the UK
- Willing to travel regularly with some overnight stays
- Ability to commute to the Nottingham office daily
- Interest in outdoor activities and surveying
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Teamworking ability
- Health and safety awareness
- Over 18 years of age due to overtime over 40 hours/week
