Trainee Operations Management-1st Shift- Waverly Plant

Operations Management Trainee (OMT) on 1st shift at Tyson Foods' Waverly Plant rotates through multiple departments (Receiving, Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other support functions) to develop future operational leaders. The role involves analyzing production and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, assisting with safety, quality, yields, and efficiency, troubleshooting production issues, and leading projects and cross-functional initiatives. The trainee will support staffing, production planning, and resource allocation, collaborate with HR, Maintenance, FSQA, Engineering, and Accounting teams, and drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and waste while gaining hands-on exposure to plant operations. Travel up to 12 trips per year is possible; the role emphasizes learning plant equipment, processes, and systems and advancing toward supervisory and management positions.
