Job Summary
Trainee Land Surveyor role based in Glasgow, joining Survey Solutions’ geospatial surveying team. Work on on-site land and measured building surveys using innovative technology, with a structured training program and on-the-job training to earn whilst you learn. Responsibilities include setting up surveying instruments, recording data, processing surveying data in the office, providing logistical support, maintaining instruments, and contributing to training and development days. Requires willingness to travel with overnight stays, a full UK driving licence, and a commitment to health and safety. Offers full-time hours with potential overtime, 24–30 holiday days, sick pay, wellbeing schemes, and opportunities for professional accreditation via the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths & English to Grade C level/ Grade 4
- Candidate must be over 18 years of age due to overtime
- Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Able to commute to our Glasgow office daily
- Willing to travel regularly with some overnight stays
- Health and safety awareness
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Logical thinker with numerical confidence
