Job Summary
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, heavy maintenance, and wreck repairs on 4500 HP and 6000 HP diesel electric locomotives within specified timelines and quality standards. Execute all appropriate documentation for repair activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Ensure compliance with local regulations and customer safety policies during shop operations. Work across different shifts in a 24x7 environment, troubleshooting faults in engines, bogies, brake systems, traction motors, and control systems.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering
- 1-3 years applicable operations experience
- Willingness to work in 24x7 operations- different shifts, various days
- Experience in Microsoft office applications
- Ability to work in shop environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in the transportation industry
- Technical experience working on rolling stock products Engines / Bogies / Brake Systems / Traction Motors / Control Systems, etc.
- Ability to analyse and troubleshoot faults in Locomotive running and oversee specific job works
- Should be comfortable in learning & adopting IT systems for monitoring & maintaining Locomotives
