Trainee Financial Planner

Job Summary

Conduct client and meeting support by preparing materials, drafting planning proposals, and managing CRM records under supervision. Research products and investments to generate quotations and suitability reports, then track implementation of recommendations including paperwork and trading instructions. Operate within strict ethical and compliance frameworks, ensuring AML/KYC requirements are satisfied and escalating risks promptly. Maintain accurate client files and follow internal quality standards while collaborating with paraplanning teams. Collaborate with consultants on sales meetings and technical updates, adhering to FCA Conduct Rules and Brooks Macdonald Code of Conduct.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma (Level 4) qualified or actively working towards it
  • commitment to achieving Chartered status

  • experience in an IFA practice or similar environment
  • familiarity with Intelliflo (IO)
  • familiarity with cash-flow tools (e.g., Voyant)
