Job Summary
Process invoices, expenses, and payments while supporting the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records. Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and assist with month-end activities including data collection and basic reporting. Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve finance-related queries and complete ad hoc projects. Ensure all work adheres to internal controls, policies, and compliance requirements while developing proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals to build practical skills and commercial awareness within the housebuilding business.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to plan, organise, and manage time effectively
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable using IT systems, including Microsoft Excel and finance systems
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
- Motivation, drive, and ambition to develop a career in finance
Desired Qualifications
- If you do not already hold a relevant qualification, you may also have the opportunity to work towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and then progress to either the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification, depending on your chosen career pathway, as part of your programme
