Job Summary
The Trainee DOT at Pepsi Bottling Ventures trains to learn all aspects of the Customer Delivery Specialist role, including safe operation of a delivery vehicle and delivering PBV beverages to stores. After training, the Trainee executes deliveries on assigned routes, performs pre-post-trip vehicle checks per DOT requirements, unloads and merchandises products, maintains shelf displays, builds positive account relationships, collects signatures and invoices as needed, and adheres to DOT/FMCSA regulations. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, ability to obtain a CDL permit within the specified timeframe if not already held, and the physical ability to perform delivery duties and heavy lifting. Strong communication, teamwork, and customer-focused skills are essential, with work based in Garner, NC. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass DOT physical prior to first day of employment
- Must be able to obtain CDL permit by 15th business day and 45 business days from hire date if CDL not currently held
- Positive attitude and detail oriented
- Perform basic financial calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Able to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods
- Able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Self-starter with excellent follow-up skills
- Able to work in a team environment
- Meet PBV driving qualifications
