Trainee Cost Specialist - Train to Fit

Trainee Cost Specialist embedded in Experis Academy to become a Cost Engineer supporting Cavendish Nuclear’s cost portfolio on infrastructure projects. You will receive training in project, programme and portfolio management (P3M), planning and controls, Primavera and Excel, and participate in scenario-based workshops. Day-to-day responsibilities include co-ordinating and collating project cost data, producing Revenue and Cost Reports, providing forward-looking cost trends and variance analyses, facilitating re-forecasting with the Project Team, ensuring cost reporting aligns with WBS, and assisting with Monthly Billing. You will engage with stakeholders at various levels, applying strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The programme emphasises practical application, with exposure to governance and best practices in project management and cost control, within a nuclear and infrastructure context. You will work in our central Glasgow office as part of the Cavendish Nuclear team, and gain entry into a market-leading aerospace, defence and security organisation through a structured training programme, including recognised Project Management foundations and practitioner qualifications.
