Job Summary

Undertake bush regeneration and weed control activities while assisting with native planting and revegetation projects. Monitor and maintain ecosystem health by identifying native and invasive plant species and using environmental tools and machinery safely. Support conservation projects across various landscapes and sites while following environmental, cultural, and workplace safety requirements. This role includes completing a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management with paid employment and mentorship from experienced professionals. Muru Mittigar offers exposure to diverse land management projects within Western Sydney, encouraging applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Required Qualifications

  • Has a genuine interest in conservation, the environment and sustainability
  • Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Is reliable, motivated and willing to learn
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills
  • Holds a current driver's licence (or is working towards obtaining one)
  • Is physically fit and capable of undertaking outdoor field work
